A correct coprological diagnosis depends mainly on the accuracy of the techniques and methods used and especially on the recognition of the morphology of the worm eggs and larvae. The purpose of this book is to illustrate the characteristics of the most important worm eggs and larvae occurring in domestic animals and in man. The most common parasites of Western Europe are included, together with some more rarely encountered worm eggs or others that are to be found in some particular countries. As this book is intended for veterinarians and for laboratory researchers, much attention was given to practical methods and techniques. Diagnosis is made possible by colour photographs grouped per animal species, identification tables and by a description of the typical features of each egg or larva.
