Description: | Laboratory Animal Centre of the University of Helsinki arranges the course for persons carrying out procedures (for Functions A & D) three times every year: twice in English and Once in Finnish. The course for persons designing procedures and projects (Function B) is arranged once a year in English. Laboratory Animal Centre arranges a Functon B course for researchers "The use of animals in research: course for people designing procedures and projects" once a year. This course together with the course for the people carrying out procedures on animals and a relevant higher academic degree gives legal competence (according to Act 497/2013 and Decree 564/2013) to design procedures and projects. The course for the person carrying out procedures on animals must be completed in order to be accepted into this course |

To get into the Function B course, an applicant must have carried out the Function A course (Course for the person carrying out procedures). Students have to have a purpose of the course, i.e. they will work with laboratory animals in the near future and they belong to research group at University of Helsinki. |
