Assessing the Health and Welfare of Laboratory Animals (AHWLA)
Owner/Developer: Newcastle University
This website provided practical guidance in recognising signs of health and good welfare and to help users of the site to become better able to identify signs of pain, distress and poor welfare in laboratory animals.
It closed in May 2021 and has been replaced by the Research Animal Training (RAT) website.
This webpage explains the transition from AHWLA to RAT.
