The College of Medicine, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (COM-UIUC) Atlas of Histology web pages are an extensive set of histological specimens, featuring the COM-UIUC collection of plastic sections prepared by Aulikki Kokko-Cunningham. The web interface permits the user to quickly change magnification to examine areas of interest in great detail. There are more than 1000 labelled histological features with accompanying functional descriptions. All the material can be accessed using an alphabetical index and a search engine. It is recommended that new users start at "Atlas Demo". Guided tours through many Atlas specimens and self-assessment quizzes are also available.
