This one-handed milking machine makes it easier to collect milk without having to use pups. Conventional machines are few in number and most of them require collection of milk from the stomach of a milk-fed pup.
The device covers the nipple area with a tube with a trumpet-shaped tip. A separate suction tube is used to extract air from the milking tube.
Instructions:
Temporarily separate the mother and pups, to ensure an adequate milk supply. Anaesthetise the mother and administer oxytocin. Milk each teat in turn. Avoid continuous milking of one teat. Return the mother to the pups.
