Norecopa was founded on 10 October 2007.
We celebrated the 18th Birthday with a web-based meeting on 14 October that combined two other international events that day.
The presentations are in the language used in the title:

1000-1200: 3Rs and Best Practice in Wild Terrestrial Mammal Research organised by the National Committee. The meeting included:
- A presentation of the review paper: “The welfare and ethics of research involving wild animals: A primer” – Prof. Carl Soulsbury, School of Life Sciences, University of Lincoln, Lincoln, UK
- Welfare of wild terrestrial herbivores / carnivores used for scientific purposes. 3R considerations for capture-, handling-, and marking techniques as well as post-release behavior and data validity – Prof. Jon Martin Arnemo, University of Inland, Norway
